Race 8 of the Timex BC Road Running Series

Start:
Sunday May 25 2008, 8:30am
Kerrisdale Arena, 41st and East Blvd., Vancouver BC

Course:
Certified 8K course running through the undulating, historic, residential streets of Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale. Click here for course map.

5K Poker Walk:
The same course as the 8K but with only one lap of the loop section. Walkers will collect a poker card at kilometers 1 to 5. Top ten poker hands will receive a prize (No trading permitted).

Online entry is available here on the Running Room web site. Or you can register by completing and mailing this printable entry form.

Pre-Race Package Pickup:
Saturday May 24 2008, noon to 5pm at Running Room - 2083 Alma Street, Vancouver

Race Day Package Pickup and Day of Race Registration:
Sunday May 25 2008, 7am to 8:15am at Kerrisdale Arena, 5670 East Blvd, Vancouver

Categories:
MEN & WOMEN 19 and under, and 5 year age groups to 75+

8K awards:
Medals to top 3 finishers in each category of the 8K run
RUNNING ROOM GIFT CERTIFICATES to top 3 men and women overall. 1st-$100, 2nd-$75, 3rd-$50

Art Porter Memorial Awards:
to overall male and female age-graded winners - $50 Running Room Gift Certificate

Art Porter was a Lions Gate Road Runner who held several Canadian age class records. Art passed away in 1988 at the age of 77.

Draw Prizes:
The Grand prize is a MINI COOPER for a weekend plus an overnight stay at the Kelowna Sandman Inn courtesy of Yaletown Mini and the Kelowna Sandman Inn.
Also many other generous draw prizes from our sponsors.
