Donate to Great Climate Race Charities

Race participants are invited to support The Great Climate Race and their funding of local renewable energy projects. They are always appreciative of donations so if you’d like to donate directly to one of their charities, please visit greatclimaterace.com. We thank you for helping us in supporting this worthy charity.

Parking

The race starts on the Seawall adjacent to the Second Beach pool. Parking is limited in this area. Pay parking throughout the park is enforced. Please carpool or consider taking public transit or cycle.

Package Pickup

Package pick up will be at the Denman Street Running Room as follows:

  • Friday, Oct 39 – 4:30 pm – 8 pm
  • Saturday, Oct 31 – 12 pm – 5 pm

On race day, package pick up will be from 8:30 to 9:45 am on site at the Second Beach concession stand.

 

 

Race Day Schedule

The  race will start at 10:00 am. The start/finish area is adjacent to the Second Beach Pool.

Awards and random draw prizes will start at 11 am – be sure to stick around – we have lots of gift cards and other swag to be won!

Prizes

Finisher medals to all participants (and they’ll be there on race day!)

Age group medals will be three deep for men and women per 5-year age groups from 19 and under to 80 plus. Top race finisher prizes (Running Room gift cards) to top three men, women (open) and top men and women masters (40 plus).

In addition, there will be prizes for the best costumes (men and women), and a team prize too (gift cards from Mahony’s) so get those creative juices flowing!

The top overall finishers for men and women will also receive the coveted Trowel Award, designed to recognize James Cunningham’s lifelong work to complete the Seawall.
